Placing a trade
The ticket
- Open Trade. Pick LONG or SHORT and the order type: Market (now), Limit (a better price, waits), Stop (enter on a breakout).
- Set the stop and targets: type them, click ⌖ and click the chart, or pick a suggested level.
- Check the line under the buttons: size, the loss at the stop, the gain at the target, fees.
- Tick the checklist honestly, then place. Orders and positions appear on the chart; drag their lines to move them; add a trailing stop if you want the stop to follow price.
Paper mode is the default: simulated fills on live prices, journaled like real trades. Practise for weeks before connecting real keys.
Real-money orders ask for confirmation every time, and real-money bots need an explicit acknowledgement. That friction is deliberate.

1. You want to buy only if price breaks above 105 (now 100). Which order?
- Limit at 105
- Stop entry at 105 ✓
- Market
A limit buy above the price fills at once; a stop entry waits for the breakout.
