Wedges
You will learn to
- Rising and falling wedges
- Momentum loss inside a trend
The shape
Both lines slope the same way and converge. A rising wedge — each push up gains less ground — leans bearish. A falling wedge leans bullish. Both describe a trend losing momentum rather than a sudden reversal.
Caution
Wedges are easy to see after the fact and hard to tell from a healthy channel in real time. Wait for the close beyond the boundary.
What our backtest found
4H, unseen 2024–26: rising wedge −0.10R (35 trades), falling wedge +0.10R (38) — no edge.Advertisement
